Summer in Ariccia on the Castelli Romani

Ariccia is a focal point in the Castelli Romani area, between Nemi and Albano lakes, both for its culture and history.

Distinguished by Ariccia's Bridge, among the most important engineering works of the 19th century,
which represents the town's entrance along the Via Appia.
The modern part of the town has developed around the original medieval village, where you can still visit the remains of the ancient city of Aricia.

In the 17th century big architectural works changed its aspect: Gian Lorenzo Bernini, a genious of the baroque, realised Piazza della Repubblica, Palazzo Chigi and the monumental Collegiata di Santa Maria Assunta.

Beyond the historical buildings and culture, Ariccia is also famous for local gastronomic specialities, like wine from Castelli Romani or the renowned “porchetta” of Ariccia.
